A wet and rainy day in Wales today so instead I sat in the window and painted this beautiful Robin in snow laden branches.
I am really pleased with him and might just look into getting prints made of this lovely chap 🙂
Stone stories use lots and lots of pebbles so a trip to the Welsh coast yesterday was fabulous!!! With a workshop next week the lucky children are going to have some beautiful stones to use for their stories.
I also collected one or two unusual things with experimenting in mind 🙂
Rhos on sea will be remembered as a perfect collecting beach.
I’m really happy to say that Artfinder is working out really well. In a very short time I have sold three paintings 😀
Today I finished the illustration for the front cover of a book I am writing
but tomorrow I will focus on putting a few more paintings onto my site at http://www.artfinder.com/debsta
I really do love what I do 🙂
As a creator of stone stories by chance I came across another stonestories on instagram and started to follow 🙂
What a great thing she is doing and I really want to share this with you. She is based on Canada and she writes beautiful positive messages on stones. These are left in random unusual places for people to find. Her website http://www.stonestories.org is written on the reverse. Please visit the website and see the impact these stones have on the people that find them 🙂
So today I contacted stonestories and asked if the UK could join in the experiment in serendipity.
So please keep your eyes peeled for extra special stones wherever you may be x
Oooh I enjoyed hobbycraft today. Bought some lovely acrylics, some quality watercolour paper and some other lovely stuff.
The afternoon was painting time and this lovely painting is finished and drying 🙂 can’t wait to list it on http://www.artfinder.com/debsta
Do any of you have days where you need to finish off many started projects? Today is one of those. I have the sky to finish in an oil painting that was interrupted a couple of weeks ago. An acrylic to continue with. Two commissions to start planning for…a triptych and a barn owl.
And news just in…a half price sale in hobbycraft!!!!
I might also make a start on this beautiful photograph in nairn…crying out for an oil painting.
With summer holidays comes all sorts of creativity mainly designed to occupy young minds.
Today was all about making pizza from scratch… 6 kids…2 adults and lots of fun.
Even a bit of den building with ‘fork handles’ (only those of a certain age will get that reference I say Granville) and some duvet covers was in order during dough rising time. After knocking back the dough (no cava involved today) they added extensions to the den using large umbrellas and the rabbit run 🙂
great fun was had by all, especially me as occupied kids equals parents free to chat!
My new artfinder.com shop is now live!! Very excited.
There are 12 paintings for sale so head over and take a look, hit like on the ones you like (obvs) and follow me so that you can be updated when I add more to my shop.
This original oil painting’harlech Castle’ is available on artfinder too.
Thank you for your support and remember I take commissions so please do get in touch. I’m currently working on a barn owl watercolour and a triptych oil painting 🙂
